Challenge 1 - Designing the logo

Designing the logo
As per the idea and philosophy behind the brand, they were looking for a logo that could generate a feeling of fast, secure, and money at a glance.

As a design lead, I helped in organising a team exercise for logo ideas. I was ideally involved in conceptualising, sketching, and designing logos and brand guidelines from inception to the final visual identity of the brand.

Outcome: After several rounds of iteration on logo concepts and discussion, we finalised the logo with a check-mark — which served as both a symbol of assurance and a V emblem.

Challenge 2 - Mobile App (MVP)
Challenge 2 -
Mobile App (MVP)
The stakeholders had mapped out a user journey for the product, but they were concerned about the user experience during the instant loan process. As the product designer, my assignment was to develop the MVP while taking care of their concerns. This also involved carrying out comprehensive research on the user flow of competitors.

As the product designer, my assignment was to develop the MVP while taking care of their concerns. This also involved carrying out comprehensive research on the user flow of competitors.
I started by auditing competitor apps, capturing screenshots, and analysing their UX strengths and weaknesses. After that, I created wireframes and UI that blended well with the IA and the research findings. By creating clean and modern visual layouts, I effectively met the app's white-labeling requirements.

Outcome: After numerous iterations and discussions on each flow, and effectively addressing the financial challenges, we successfully launched the initial version of the app within only 6 months. Additionally, I crafted a comprehensive design system during the UI design of the mobile app.

Challenge 3 - Website Designing
Challenge 3 -
Website Designing
Meanwhile, the MVP was in the development phase the next task in the pipeline was to design a website for the product. The challenge was that the website wouldn’t just help in marketing but the core agenda was to make users understand about this new loan concept against MFs. The website itself targeted two groups of users one that will be applying for loans and the other the MFDs, who usually sell MF to users.

I created different information architectures to meet the needs of two user groups. I iterated on wireframes for both landing pages. I developed a distinct design system for the website while maintaining consistency with the mobile app's style.

Outcome: In a short time, I had completed high-fidelity website layouts for the landing and other pages. Additionally, I worked on the website's marketing and featured pages.

Challenge 4 - Web Application
Challenge 4 -
Web Application
After successfully launching the mobile app for users, the next goal was to develop a web application for MFD. The challenge was that MFDs were not very tech-savvy and were typically aged 35 and above. On the other hand, the web app needed to be highly responsive and effectively manage substantial financial data, as MFDs typically use their mobile app to track loan applications.

To streamline the onboarding process for MFDs and maximize conversions from marketing websites, I implemented a strategic design approach. Additionally, adaptive layouts were designed to address large sets of user data. Through thorough research with the project manager on user needs, we carefully placed information and action buttons.

Outcome: After going through the design process and several iterations, we were ready with the final web application product in 3 to 4 months.

As a design generalist, I not only participated in product designing but also designed a number of graphics. These graphical fragments included illustrations in the product and website, Play Store graphics, event pamphlets, office wall stickers, etc.

As a designer learnt how to deliver quick iterations for a set of data with different layouts. This was very impactful.

Also, I learned to effectively communicate my designs with stakeholders, ensuring that I crafted an appropriate user experience solution for a specific problem statement. To support this, I read the book "Articulating Design Decisions."
